About Us

Rethinking Eve explores a simple but transformative question: What would civilization look like if the nurturing of life became its highest value?

For much of human history, societies have been shaped by systems of domination—hierarchies that privilege power, conquest, and control. These systems have influenced our political institutions, economic structures, cultural traditions, and even the ways we imagine the sacred.

Rethinking Eve invites a different vision. Drawing on the work of scholars, historians, and theologians who have examined the roots of patriarchy and the possibilities of partnership societies, the project explores how civilizations can be organized around a life-centered principle: the nurturing of life.

In such a civilization, equality between women and men becomes foundational. The work that sustains life—raising children, caring for families, building communities, and protecting the Earth—is recognized as essential rather than invisible.

This vision also requires structural change. The Equal Rights Amendment affirms a simple constitutional principle: that equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged on account of sex. Recognizing women as equal citizens under the Constitution provides an essential foundation for a society organized around partnership rather than domination.

Rethinking Eve also explores how cultural symbols, spiritual imagination, and shared stories shape the ways societies understand power and life itself. Symbols such as The Balance of Life reflect the deeper truth that civilization flourishes when feminine and masculine forces exist in harmony.

Through ideas, symbols, and civic engagement, Rethinking Eve seeks to contribute to a broader cultural conversation about how humanity can move toward a civilization grounded in dignity, equality, and the nurturing of life.
